You know what goes well with three inches of snow? Cellist & self-sampler Zoe Keating. The track "Fern" reminds me of some of the music from the Metamorphoses soundtrack.

Alternatively, you could ride your motorcycle slowly down the street pulling your friends on snowboards.* Or be a dog, chasing snowballs thrown by said friends who are currently not on said snowboards. All those things go well with snow, too.

*Clearly my neighbors, not me, as I am the one listening to the resampled cello. The snowboarding looks fun, though.

Either you live right near here (SE 43rd at about Harrison), or those kids with the motorcycle and snowboards really get around, or more people than the one set had the same idea.

Heh. No, we're in Beaverton.

Now I wonder how many people were doing it. I didn't realize so many people would look at three inches of snow and say, let me just grab my motorcycle and snowboard and I'll be right out!

I'm afraid I'm a weenie. My motorcycle stays firmly clean and dry (and ultimately, shiny-side up) in the garage during snow.
Snow/Salt ick in tiny crevices? No way.
But it would be fun to watch someone else destroy their ride.

I suppose when snow that sticks is a once every two years event, you might not think through all those things.

(Well *you* would, but if you were a 20 year old boy with more 20 year old boys hanging around, you might not... ;)

LOl, you're right. and you know, despite the bitter cold and icy crap we have right now, I'm actually enjoying looking at the snowy stuff. It HAS been awhile for here too. Just wish I could stay *inside* and enjoy it, not just see it to and from work.
